"On top of the World" Woodland Caribou
This miniature Caribou is a model for a monument installed in the northern Maine town with its namesake.
Woodland Caribou are less nomadic and heavier bodied than their more widespread cousins the Barren ground and Mountain Caribou. Though currently found in Newfoundland and Labrador the Woodland Caribou's historic range included the boreal forests of Maine.
